Sustainability and BASIX Services
At Aspect Z, we are more than architects and builders. We have been professionally assessing projects across Australia for energy efficiency since 2001. As a nationally accredited building energy efficiency assessor, Paula Zaia has over fifteen years extensive experience in all forms of residential NatHERS and BASIX assessment, providing compliance paths for all types of residential projects - from granny flats and project homes, to high density unit developments, specialised senior housing, dual occupancies and complex architectural projects.
An active member of the Association of Building Sustainability Assessors, Paula is nationally accredited in BERS Pro Plus software and has an intimate understanding of the building thermal performance regulations including the BASIX SEPP and regulations embedded within the BCA.
As a building sustainability assessor, Paula Zaia has an intimate understanding of the principals of passive design and an extensive knowledge of products, materials and construction methods; effective pathways to compliance are achieved with respect to the individual project design, client’s lifestyle wishes and budget constraints. Her high rate of return clients is testament to her quality service.
In each assessment, we aim to deliver a personal service which not only meets the compliance requirements of BASIX and the BCA, but which fulfils as much as possible the individual the client’s original design brief. A well conducted BASIX assessment can save you thousands of dollars during the building process, as well as delivering ongoing savings across the life of a home. By using an experienced assessor, instead of taking a chance with DIY paths, you are more able to develop sustainability options that complement your home, instead of inhibiting it.
