Each residential project requires a BASIX certificate to prove that the works will not adversely affect the environment, by ensuring a number of water and energy savings systems are included in the development.  The dwelling design itself also needs to demonstrate that it will be comfortable for the inhabitants without a reliance upon costly space heaters and air conditioning.

A well conducted BASIX assessment can save you thousands of dollars during the building process, as well as delivering ongoing savings across the life of a home.  By using an experienced assessor, instead of taking a chance with DIY paths, you are more able to develop sustainability options that complement your home, instead of inhibiting it.
