Aspect Z was established in 2001 by architect Paul Zaia. Previously trading as Zaia Architects, the award winning company has developed an impressive portfolio of residential and commercial works along the eastern states of Australia. As building sustainability assessors, Aspect Z’s philosophy centres on functional, modern architecture complementary to the Australian landscape and lifestyle. A strong focus on passively designed architecture and sustainability is ingrained in all Aspect Z projects.
Our projects range from low cost standard home designs, sustainable granny flats, award winning retail interior designs, custom designed single residences to medium density developments. Our work has received numerous architectural and construction awards, as well as being widely published. Director, Office Manager and Building Sustainability Assessor of Aspect Z, Paula Zaia is a nationally accredited building energy efficiency assessor with over fifteen years extensive experience in all forms of residential assessment. A member of the Association of Building Sustainability Assessors, Paula is nationally accredited in BERS Pro Plus software and has an intimate understanding of the building thermal performance regulations including the BASIX SEPP and regulations embedded within the BCA.
With an intimate understanding of the principals of passive design and an extensive knowledge of products, materials and construction methods; effective pathways to compliance are achieved with respect to the individual project design, client’s lifestyle wishes and budget constraints.
